TurboFire Chili

Ok, so I am seriously obsessed with this meal!  It is absolutely delicious and you can make it in the crock pot!  I have friends that do not like beans so they omit them and add green peppers, mushrooms or any other veggie you would like!  You can really make it your own!  Just remember to follow the correct portion sizes so you don't over indulge.  It's easy to do with this one.

Ingredients
1 lb. lean ground turkey
½ cup diced tomatoes

8 oz. whole kernel corn, canned
½ onion, diced
2 cloves garlic
8 oz. black beans, canned
8 oz. pinto, chili, or kidney beans canned
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 package Lawry’s chili seasoning
4 oz. low-fat shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Directions. Brown turkey. Drain and discard any fat. Place all ingredients except cheese into a slow cooker. Cook for 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high. Top with 1 oz cheese if desired.

Summit in Las Vegas June 2014

Chalene & I
I know! I am super late at sharing my SUMMIT experience with you, but it has been processing ever since....NO JOKE.  So eat your heart out!

WOW!!! Summit was absolutely MINDBLOWING! I can not tell you what an amazing experience Summit was for me. As an introvert, this was a HUGE step for me to travel to Vegas and attend this conference.

So what is Summit? It’s a conference held over 3 days (Thursday-Saturday) where thousands of Beachbody coaches come together to workout with Beachbody’s trainers & attend sessions which are led by some of the TOP coaches in the company.
Hubby & I before a night out
At the airport celebrating our anniversary.
My husband and I arrived on Wednesday to spend our anniversary around Vegas. We were able to do a little shopping, site seeing, and enjoy ourselves on a rooftop with a few drinks. I was so happy to be spending this day with him before the madness broke out. We celebrated our anniversary with a nice dinner and a breathtaking view.

Autumn doing a Q & A session
Thursday morning started with a team meeting held by top coach, Lindsay Matway.  We were able to listen to a couple of the Top 10 coaches speak as well. We also attend Chalene Johnson’s PiYO workout that afternoon long with hundreds of other coaches. Beachbody had their opening sessions which was awesome. We learned about Tony Horton's new program P90 that is set to be released Fall 2014. The ultimate reset launched it's new product the 3 Day Refresh which is currently available.

We were able to hear Darren Hardy speak as well. My biggest take away from it, I LOVE TO FAIL. I am always so scared o fail. I put so much into my daily duties at home & at work and the thought of failure terrifies me. Hearing this, make me realize that IT IS OKAY.

We started Friday off with a workout at 6AM held by Autumn Calabrese, creator of the 21 Day Fix. Holllaaaa. It was absolutely AMAZING. I was star struck for sure! We attended our general sessions and learned some greatness to grow our business from  some amazing leaders. After grabbing a bite to eat with my husband, we had every intention of going to the taken & physique show, that we fell asleep.

Nick & I before our morning workout

Our final day, came around. Saturday! We got up around 2:30AM Vegas time and headed to get a great spot at the Super Workout which was actually in the back of the MGM Hotel parking lot. Still dark out, chatting with other coaches, it was so surreal to me. I stopped and took everything in at that moment, and was nearly brought to tears with my feelings about this trip. The workout was amazing. We got our sweat on with Shaun T, Tony Horton, Chalene Johnson, Autumn Calabrese, Joel & Jerico from Les Mills series. We were a bit crammed but the energy was amazing and it was a great workout. We got ready for more general session with some great coaches about learning to build our business into a full time job, how to promote on social media, and how to become a better person as well. It's so crazy to sit in these session with the people you admire and have been following on social media for so long.
Super workout Saturday morning

We had a final night of get togethers at the Celebration which awarded the Top Coach award and put on a HUGE production. With that concluding, we had a celebration after party. My husband and I went for a few minutes but it was so hard to keep our eyes open we went back to the hotel and crashed as we were setting to travel back home at 6AM the next day.
AMEN!

This trip was a whirlwind of surprises. I had debated about going because of the financial aspect of it, but was told so many times that it would be worth every single penny. Ahhh and was everyone right on that or what?!?!  This is a trip I not only was able to experience with my husband, but also met so many new people on my team that I normally talk to through Facebook. I have said it over and over but this is something i will truly treasure forever and will never forget.

Cheers to growing my business for the next year and growing as an individual!

ChaLEAN Extreme & Brazilian Butt Lift Hybrid: Week 1-4

Stella joining in my workout with her cone!
I have been a slacker on my updates! I am sooooo sorry, but happy to be back. It’s been a crazy month. So why did I decide to do these 2 programs together? I bought BBL back in 2012 while I was up at 3AM with the flu & saw the infomercial. I lasted 2 weeks and put it back on the shelf. I bought CLX back in October & haven’t had the chance to bust this one out yet. So basically, with the strength training from CLX & the booty workouts from BBL I figured this would be a great combo along with wiping the dust off them as well. You can pretty much pair any Beachbody programs to make it a hybrid, but I like to make sure they go hand in hand and make sense with what my goals are that I am trying to reach. My body is still transitioning the fat into muscle.

MY GOAL:  I don’t want to lose any weight but I do want to lean out and of course have Carrie Underwood legs…as does everyone else. J

Below are the workouts for the CLX Burn Phase & a mix of BBL workouts. I will admit, I didn’t do every single workout as scheduled. Our dog had surgery so we were tied up with keeping a close eye on her along with not sleeping and the 5AM alarm quickly turned into a snooze for me. Major props to all the mama's out there. I don't know how you do what you do.

Week 1:
·         Monday: CE Burn Phase 1
·         Tuesday: BBL Bum Bum
·         Wednesday: CE Burn Phase #2
·         Thursday: CE Burn Intervals & Ab Burner
·         Friday: CE Burn Phase #3
·         Saturday: BBL High & Tight
·         Sunday: Rest day

Week 2
·         Monday: BBL Sculpt
·         Tuesday: BBL High & Tight AND Tummy Tuck
·         Wednesday: CE Burn Phase #2
·         Thursday: BBL High & Tight AND Cardio Axe
·         Friday: CE Burn Phase #3
·         Saturday: CE Burn it off & Recharge
·         Sunday: Rest day

Week 3
·         Monday: CE Burn Phase #1
·         Tuesday: BBL Cardio Axe & Bum Bum
·         Wednesday: BBL Sculpt
·         Thursday: CE Burn intervals & Ab burner
·         Friday: CE Burn Phase #3
·         Saturday: BBL High & Tight AND Tummy Tuck
·         Sunday: Rest day

Week 4
·         Monday: CE Burn Phase #1
·         Tuesday: BBL Bum Bum AND Tummy Tuck
·         Wednesday: CE Burn Phase #2
·         Thursday: BBL High & Tight AND Tummy Tuck
·         Friday: BBL Sculpt
·         Saturday: CE Burn it off & recharge
·         Sunday: Rest day

I really love CLX. Before I started the program I bought 8 & 10 pound weights, I feel before this program is done I will need to increase again which means this girl is getting STRONGER!!!

Brazilian butt lift is AMAZING. It may feel & look funny while you’re doing these workouts but they really do work. You can feel the soreness in your booty the next day. When Leandro was creating the program, he wanted every muscle in your rear to get worked during that time. One of my favorites is cardio axe. You are dancing the entire time, while increasing your heart rate.
Meal plan 1 year ago.

Meal Plan:

I attempted new things the first week of this program & couldn’t do it. Here is what a typical day looked like for me during the BURN phase along with BBL.

Breakfast: 4 scrambled eggs, ezekeil toast, glass of milk
AM Snack: Rice cake & 2 slices of turkey
Lunch: Shakeology w/ Almond Milk
PM snack: Peanut butter fudge power bar
Dinner: ranged anywhere from steak fajitas to buffalo chicken wraps to pizza

I stuck to the same snacks throughout the 4 weeks. I am a creature of habit and makes it easy when I go to meal plan & pack my snacks for the week for work.

How my body is feeling:
feel GREAT! I can feel my body changing and getting stronger. I am hungrier then I was before. When that happens I just grab something that has protein.

With going on vacation next week, I feel really great & I am impressed with how I look & feel compared to a year ago when I was still working with a trainer. It’s hard to believe how far I have come with myself since I have been working with Beachbody programs. I was the typical person who always said that these types of programs DO NOT WORK. I have given up on them 2 years ago & thought I would be in that same place again. It’s all in the mind and the motivation AND determination.

You can make it happen. I believe in you. If I can do it, I truly believe anyone can do it. With me as your coach, you have all tools you need. I am ready to be there by your side and transform you life.  If you are ready to join me in my next accountability group, fill out the application below.

Stay fit and healty on the weekend

Weekend is almost here. These are 2 of my hardest day while trying to stay in track with my clean eating.  Last weekend we went to the lake for my husband birthday and needless to say, I overindulged on junk that should never been picked up. I felt horrible for 3 days after. It took days for my body to recuperate from it. So advice to you for your weekend:

TIPS FOR TURNING AWAY TEMPTATION

   1. Plan family activities like bike rides or outdoor games.  This helps you spend time with your family and burn calories all at once!

   2. Carry a water bottle with you to your weekend activities.  This will help you get your water for the day and resist the temptation to reach for a soda or other caffeinated beverage.

   3. Set some "weekend specific" goals for yourself based on the realities of what you'll be doing.  They may look very different than your weekday goals, and that's okay.

   4. If you are going to be out all day, pack some healthy snacks in case you get hungry.  There is nothing worse than being hungry at the mall, and the only food options are ice cream or pizza.

   5. Set Monday as your weigh-in day.  You are more likely to resist temptation if you have to face the scale first thing Monday morning.

   6. Plan ahead!!  If you are going out to eat, find the restaurant's menu (and any available nutritional information) online.  You'll have plenty of time to make a healthy choice before you get there.

  7. Don't save all of your splurging for the weekends. Allowing yourself a few treats throughout the week will help you avoid the mindset that the weekend is an excuse to go bonkers. And by spacing your treats evenly, you're less likely to get sudden, irresistible cravings.

Come Monday, you will feel and look fabulous while all those bar drinkers are still dragging from the weekend festivities.
